1. In all molding processes, die casting is the highest method of production. Usually cold chamber die casting machine can be cast 1000~2500 times per shift, and hot chamber die casting machine can be cast 3000~7000 times, which is suitable for mass production. Each operation cycle is usually 10s to 1min, and it can complete one mode and multi cavity technology, and its output value is multiplied. Compared with other molding processes, die casting saves and even completely eliminates parts machining time and equipment. 2. because the die casting is the rapid filling of metal liquid cavity and condensation under high pressure, it can produce disorderly shape products, thin-walled castings even including peak valley, convex concave, narrow groove and other clear die-casting. The minimum wall thickness of die castings is zinc alloy O.3mm and aluminum alloy 0.5mm. The minimum diameter of the cast out hole is 0.7mm. The minimum pitch of the thread is 0.75mm. As for the disorderly, difficult or impossible parts made by cutting, the production of die-casting is usually used even if the output value is small. Especially when the other metal forming technology is difficult to make, it is the most suitable for the use of die casting.
3.When the die casting is produced, other metal or non metal parts can be embedded in order to improve the partial strength of the casting, and meet some special requests (such as wear resistance, insulation, magnetic conductivity, etc.), as well as the technology to improve the structure of the casting. The die casting can not only make the parts with the shape and disorder, the high precision, the scale stability and the interchangeability, but also can be inlaid with the die casting, instead of the installation and simplification of some parts, which can not only improve the working function of the casting, but also save energy and reduce the consumption.
4. the precision of the casting is IT12 to IT11, and the surface roughness Ra is usually 3.2 to 0.8, with a minimum of O.4. Therefore, usually die casting can be used without mechanical processing or just a single part processing.
5.the strength and exterior hardness of the casting are high, because the chilling effect of the die casting mould is crystallized under pressure, so the surface layer of the die casting is finer, so the hardness and strength of the surface layer are high. The tensile strength of die castings is usually 25% to 30% higher than that of sand castings, but the elongation is low.
