The latest news: Police say they have confirmed that the man in the video is Jonathan McLennan, 27.
He is considered armed and dangerous and the police are asking anyone who finds him to call 911.

EARLIER: Police in Greater Toronto are seeking help to determine that a man may be responsible for the kidnapping of a surveillance camera.
In a video released Thursday by New York district police, he was seen threatening to kill a woman and dragging her hair into a car.
Police said in a press release that the suspect was a short-haired male, possibly armed with a pistol and wearing a hoodie in the video.
